We can all learn valuable lessons
from communities who meet the challenges of violence against
women that occurs in rural communities. Anne Munch is the
director of the Ending Violence Against Women Project (EVAW) in
Colorado that delivers training and technical assistance to
criminal justice workers across the state, mostly in rural
areas. This session will focus on the specific needs and
challenges that have been identified by rural communities who
handle cases of domestic violence and sexual assault, and will
offer promising responses to many of the barriers rural
community members face. |
