This presentation addresses “best
practices” in sex offender management, including the use of the
post-conviction polygraph examination as a treatment tool.
Findings from studies using the polygraph exam are reviewed,
along with data from research on recidivism and sexual assault
victims. Legal issues, risk assessment, the impact on treatment
staff of additional sex crime information are discussed. |
