F. INTERVENTION STRATEGIES:
For the past two decades communities have been developing a coordinated system for identification and intervention with domestic violence. Central to this effort has been the systematic application of arrest, mandatory sentencing and offender specific therapy. Holding the offender accountable for their actions has been a critical component of this response. From these efforts it has become clear that it is time for modification of the basic concepts so that the lessons learned can be applied in increasing safety for victims and the community. This workshop will act to introduce essential elements of containment as they apply to stalking. Included in this presentation will be discussions of risk management and using typology to assist in program building and intervention.
