Debbie Smith was a stay at home mom in 1989 when she was forcibly removed from her own home at 1:00 p.m. in the quiet town of Williamsburg, Virginia. She was abducted, robbed and raped in the woods behind her own home. For 6 1/2 years, there were no clues to the identity of her attacker. Then finally, a cold hit in the DNA lab in Richmond, Va. revealed her rapist. After a lengthy trial, he was put away and Debbie has become an active speaker on behalf of the use of DNA, rape victims, SANE nurses and anyone else who can be helped by her story.
