Marcy
Worthington, M.S., Ret. SDPD Reserve Officer

Marcy Worthington has been a
professional photographer since 1974, originally specializing in
portraits and weddings. She became interested in law enforcement
in 1983 and went back to school. Marcy received a BA in
Behavioral Science with an emphasis in Criminal Justice and a MS
in Forensic Science, then joined the San Diego Police Department
in 1987 as a reserve officer. As a reserve officer, who was also
trained in evidence collection, Marcy spent thousands of hours
working both patrol and specialized assignments, and has
documented many types of crime scenes.
Marcy began teaching in several areas at the San Diego Regional
Public Safety Training Institute (the regional law enforcement
academy) in 1989, and has taught forensics and crime scene
photography classes for National University and Grossmont
College. She currently teaches both for the academy and the
Administration of Justice program at Miramar College. |
