Olga Trujillo, JD is an attorney
with 12 years of experience working in the United States
Department of Justice. She most recently was the Director of the
Special Projects Division of the Office for Victims of Crime. In
that position, she managed an eight million dollar discretionary
grant program focusing on nationwide training and technical
assistance on victim issues, including child abuse, sexual and
domestic violence issues. Prior to that, Ms. Trujillo was the
Legal Counsel in the Office of Victims of Crimes, where she
helped guide the Office’s many grant programs and oversaw
statutory changes. Ms. Trujillo was also the General Counsel of
the Office of Justice Programs. In that position, she led the
agency implementation of the Omnibus Crime Control Act of 1994,
including the implementation of the Violence Against Women Act.
She has brought and continues to bring her personal experience
of growing up in a home filled with violence and sexual abuse to
her work. Ms. Trujillo is now a consultant currently working
with the Family Violence Prevention Fund and the National
Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges on issues of
violence against women and children. |
