Trinka Porrata worked for the LAPD for 25 years. During the last three and a half years of her service, she became a nationally recognized expert on the trendy drugs of abuse, such as Rohypnol, GHB, Ecstasy, Special K and LSD. Since retiring, Ms. Porrata provides training, consultation and expert testimony in the trendy drugs of abuse. She has worked with federal legislators and the Drug Enforcement Administration regarding federal legislation to control GHB as a schedule I drug. She developed a booklet for the public,
